Cyclic pressure applied to cows' teats by teatcup liners can be determined simply and noninvasively

چکیده
Liner overpressure is a quantitative variable indicating the extent to which vacuum difference across liner during phase d (the compression phase) of milking machine pulsation exceeds that would be just sufficient stop milk flow from teat. Previously defined methods determining have required modifications machine, complex instrumentation, or both. Our method measuring derived (OP) offers relatively simple instrumentation and realistic characteristics. We determined OP by duration within cycle, then comparing with shape curve deduce chamber level corresponding duration. Derived our yielded measurements differed less than 2.0 kPa those most practical previous method, for 2 trial liners. can serve as evaluating liners, we developed may also applied automatic control process.

Gonadotropin-Releasing Response to Kisspeptin-10 and Its Modulation by Progesterone in Postpartum Cyclic Cows
The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of kisspeptin-10 (Kp10), a shorter variant of kisspeptin retaining full biological activity, on the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) in cyclic adult cows, and the effect of plasma progesterone (P4)concentration on the response to Kp10 administration. The experiments were performed using five postpartum cows...
متن کاملCan ILP be Applied to Large Dataset?
There exist large data in science and business. Existing ILP systems cannot be applied effectively for data sets with 10000 data points. In this paper, we consider a technique which can be used to apply for more than 10000 data by simplifying it. Our approach is called Approximative Generalisation and can compress several data points into one example. In case that the original examples are mixt...
متن کاملHuman and nonhuman primate meninges harbor lymphatic vessels that can be visualized noninvasively by MRI
Here, we report the existence of meningeal lymphatic vessels in human and nonhuman primates (common marmoset monkeys) and the feasibility of noninvasively imaging and mapping them in vivo with high-resolution, clinical MRI. On T2-FLAIR and T1-weighted black-blood imaging, lymphatic vessels enhance with gadobutrol, a gadolinium-based contrast agent with high propensity to extravasate across a pe...
متن کاملCan Rotational Grouping Be Determined by the Initial Conditions?
Objects rotating in depth with an ambiguous rotation direction frequently appear to rotate together. Corotation is especially strong when the objects are interpretable as having a shared axis. We manipulated the initial conditions of the experiment by having pairs of objects initially appear to be unambiguous, and then make either a sudden or gradual transition to ambiguous spin. We find that i...
متن کاملCan hiatal ballooning be determined by two-dimensional translabial ultrasound?
INTRODUCTION Imaging of the levator hiatus, the largest potential hernial portal in the human body, requires axial plane imaging by ultrasound or magnetic resonance imaging. The aim of this study is to determine whether 2D translabial ultrasound may identify excessive hiatal distensibility by measuring the anteroposterior (AP) diameter of the hiatus. This may become clinically relevant for risk...
